The work of artist Irina Akilova is ambiguous for several reasons: it would seem that the means of expressing her own worldview are accessible and unassuming. However, the semantic content is a wonderful combination of simple material with   perception of modern reality plus its own fairy tale of existence, allows an outside observer to consider the special relationship of the artist with the world around him,    to reveal the intricate concept of the author.

Irina Akilova's works are theatrically expressive, her world is a world of live and direct action, where form is in motion in relation to time and space. Characters of the artist's works are ready to jump out of their own frames of artificial reality and continue their independent life in an individual direction, and the surprised owner of the painting can only look "with wide-open eyes" at what follows.

The special playful mood of each work is able to carry both a small child and a solid adult into the world of associations. It is impossible to glance at Irina's works in passing, they require careful consideration. Bright colors and geometric constructions, grotesque and irony - a convex inner world ready to break out of its own limitations. One falls into these works and feels like a cartoon character.

The artist's talent as an animator insists on active participation in what is happening.
