Mikhailova Tatyana Anatolievna

Tatiana Anatolievna Mikhailova (Matveeva) is a member of the Union of Artists of Udmurtia. She was born in Izhevsk, where she graduated from the art and graphic arts faculty of UdSU in 1976. Till 1985 worked in the House of Folk Art as a methodologist and researcher on iso-art. She participated in the organization of republican exhibitions, seminars of amateur artists and folk craftsmen, in the compilation of catalogs. She taught at the pedagogical school, schools of Izhevsk, headed the art studio in the Palace of Children's (Youth) Creativity.

T. A. Mikhailova exhibits her paintings at the republican and regional art exhibitions since 1977. She is a participant of all exhibitions of women-artists "White Crow" (Izhevsk). In March 1997 she was awarded a diploma of the 2nd All-Russian exhibition-conference "Art and Education". Her articles are often published in the media. In 1982 the book T.Mikhailova "Artist N. A. Kosolapov" opened a new series of editions "Artists of Udmurtia", published by the publishing house "Udmurtia". Being a native Izhevsk resident, the artist preserves on her canvases the beauty of her native city, the rapidly changing appearance of the central streets and green living suburbs. In her works T. Mikhailova conveys a world full of spiritual meanings and trends, where, in her words, "everything lives, moves, dies and is reborn, where inexhaustible imagination and reasonable will of the Creator reigns everywhere.
